Smallest and lightest*

Just 55 mm long and weighing a mere 178 grams (2.17, 6.3 oz.), this is the world’s smallest, lightest F4 ultra-wide-angle power zoom lens. *Thanks to internal zoom and focus, the lens does not change in length when zooming or focusing, providing a stable centre of gravity that is ideal for vlogging and gimbal-mounted shooting. Dynamic perspectives and imagery

A 10 mm (35 mm full-frame equivalent: 15 mm) focal length at the wide end of the zoom range provides extremely wide angles of view that easily covers sweeping scenes or reveal more in small spaces. This versatile lens can also deliver dynamic images utilising unique perspectives, effectively separating the subject from the background, and emphasising distance or speed in movies.

Outstanding optics in a compact lens

Three aspherical elements suppress field curvature and astigmatism while an ED (extra-low dispersion) aspherical element subdues chromatic aberration for high image-wide resolution throughout the 10-to-20-mm zoom range (35 mm full-frame equivalent: 15 to 30 mm). Natural-looking G Lens bokeh can deliver striking expression with this lens’s 0.2-metre minimum AF distance and 0.13–0.17-metre minimum MF distance.

Responsive power zoom　

A new electronic power zoom system instantly converts zoom ring rotation to actual zoom operation so that the creator’s intent is faithfully captured. There’s also a zoom lever that makes it easy to execute super-slow constant-speed zooms that are difficult with manual zoom. Zoom can also be controlled remotely from the optional GP-VPT2BT grip, RMT-P1BT remote commander, or the Imaging Edge Mobile application.* *Zoom operation depends on the body used. Fine optics with minimal aberration

This remarkably compact lens includes an ED (extra-low dispersion) aspherical element and two ED glass elements that subdue chromatic aberration throughout the image area, achieving natural colour and high contrast without colour bleeding.

Outstanding close-up performance

The use of aspherical elements in an advanced optical design also ensures excellent close-up performance throughout the lens’s zoom range. Minimum auto focus distance is 0.2 metres with a maximum magnification of 0.14x, while minimum manual focus distance is 0.13 to 0.17 metres with a maximum magnification of 0.18x.

Remote zoom control

In addition to the zoom controls built into the lens, zoom can be controlled from assignable buttons and controls on compatible camera bodies, accessory grips, or remote commanders for convenient, versatile operation in a variety of situations.* *Zoom operation depends on the body used. Lever-controlled power zoom expression

A zoom lever with continuously variable zoom speed makes it easy to execute super-slow constant-speed zooms and perform other operations that are difficult with manual zoom. Power zoom minimises camera shake that can occur when operating a zoom ring so that even solo shooters can produce smooth, stable imagery.
